Two sisters, Su-Mi & Su-Yeon, come back home after getting treatment for a long illness. Eun-Jo0, their step mother, welcomes them, but Su-Mi, the elder sister, intentionally avoids her while Su-Yeon, the younger sister show fear for her stepmother.

On their first night, Su-Yeon sneaks into Su-Mi's room confessing that there's someone in her room. Su-Mi consoles her, but that night, images of her late mother hanging herself in Su-Yeon's closet reappear in her dreams.Su-Mi, waking up breathless, become even more horrified when she sees the ghost of her dead mother creeping to her bed the next morning.

Stranger things begin to happen after this day. A ghost haunts the house, the stepmother's adored birds are killed, and the late mother's belongings are found inside the house. Assuming Su-Yeon is behind the innauspicious, incidents. The stepmother locks her in the closet. When Su-Mi learns about her cruel punishment, conflict between the stepmother & two sisters gets bitter than ever. Su-Mi goes to Mu-Hyun, her father, and tells him that Eun-Joo has been tormenting Su-Yeon. Contrary to her expectations, Mu-Hyun tells Su-Mi to forget about Su-Yeon.
